Here is our replay of last night’s special episode on the Flint Water Crisis.
The Flint Water Crisis has recently made national news. Many questions remain about the true extent of the damage, impact on the community and appropriate next steps. While people are at the core of this issue, environmental and water sciences have been critical to understanding exactly what is happening. Join us as we talk with several environmental specialists, including Sid Roy, from the VA Tech research group central in helping to uncover this story. We discuss the scientific basis of what has happened, feasible scientific interventions and how science has been a tool for social justice.
Special thanks to Dr. Melanie Harrison Okoro, Siddhartha Roy, and Dr. Joy Balls-Berry for attending!
